  • Part3-About future

Looking towards the future, my primary goal is to build a career within the animation industry and continue developing my skills as both an artist and a visual storyteller. Throughout my studies and personal projects, I have gained experience in 2D animation, character movement, and visual sequencing, and I hope to apply these skills in a professional environment where I can contribute to collaborative creative projects.

At the beginning of my career, I am open to exploring different roles within the animation pipeline. While I have developed a particular interest in storyboarding and visual development, I believe that working in a variety of positions will help me gain a deeper understanding of the industry and improve my overall abilities. Learning from experienced professionals and participating in real production workflows will be an important part of my growth as an animator.

One of the challenges I expect to face is adapting to the changing demands of the animation market. The industry is highly competitive, and employers often look for artists who possess both strong technical skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively. For this reason, I plan to continue refining my drawing, animation, and storytelling skills while also improving my ability to collaborate with others and respond to professional feedback.

In addition, I hope to develop a portfolio that reflects both my creative interests and my professional capabilities. I want my work to demonstrate not only technical competence but also a unique artistic perspective. Finding a balance between personal creativity and commercial requirements is something I will continue to explore throughout my career.

Ultimately, I aim to find opportunities where I can contribute meaningful work while continuing to learn and grow. By remaining adaptable, curious, and committed to improving my craft, I hope to establish a sustainable career in animation and create projects that are both professionally successful and personally fulfilling.

  • Part2-About now

Throughout my previous experiences in animation, I have primarily worked as a 2D animator. During this time, I explored a wide range of animation styles and approaches, including abstract animation, action animation, and narrative-driven animation. At the beginning of my journey, I deliberately experimented with every stage of the animation production process because I wanted to discover both the areas I enjoyed most and the skills in which I could excel.

As I gained more experience, I realized that my strengths lie in designing transitions and creating transformations between different shapes, objects, and visual elements. I particularly enjoy thinking about how one image can flow naturally into another and how movement can be used to guide the audience’s attention. Through this process, I began to feel that storyboarding might be a more suitable direction for me, as it allows me to focus on visual storytelling, pacing, and the creative design of sequences rather than only the execution of animation itself.

My internship experience also provided valuable insights into the professional animation industry. I learned more about the types of work and content that companies are looking for, as well as the importance of communication and collaboration with people working in different stages of production. Understanding how artists, designers, and other team members work together helped me develop a broader perspective on the production pipeline and the practical requirements of commercial projects.

At the same time, these experiences led me to many questions about my future practice. One of the biggest challenges I have noticed is the tension between creativity and the stable demands of the commercial market. Original artistic expression and commercial requirements often seem to move in opposite directions, making them difficult to balance. Finding a way to combine these two aspects is something I continue to think about.

In the future, I hope to explore possible solutions to this challenge. I want to find opportunities where I can make the best use of my skills while still creating work that reflects my own creative vision. By continuing to learn, experiment, and adapt, I aim to develop projects that are both meaningful to me and valuable within a professional context.
